Accessibility Statement

Aetheris builds interfaces to be clear, usable and fair to everyone, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, a small screen, a slow connection or an older device. We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is built into the Aetheris Universal Design System that every Aetheris product follows.

• Use real headings, lists, links and buttons so assistive technology can read the page.
• Make everything work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a skip link at the top of every page.
• Keep touch targets at least 44 by 44 pixels.
• Choose colours that meet contrast requirements, and never use colour alone to say something. Every status, such as Live or Planned, is a word with its own shape as well as its own colour.
• Keep text readable at 200% zoom and reflow to a 320 pixel wide screen.
• Respect your device's reduced-motion setting, and offer a Motion switch in the footer that turns animation off.

Sly, our guide, is built to stay out of the way. He never acts on hover, can be moved by dragging, and can be put to sleep with one button. The tour can be stepped through with the keyboard, repeated, and ended at any time with the Escape key. What Sly says is also announced to screen readers.

• The video player on the Zimbabwe Simulator page is YouTube's. Its controls, captions and keyboard behaviour are outside our control, and some of those videos may not have captions.
• The development images on that page show vehicles and interiors. We describe each one in text, but the descriptions are brief.
• Sly can sit on top of page content while he speaks. Drag him aside, or put him to sleep, if he is in your way.

We check pages with automated accessibility tests, with keyboard-only use, and at 320, 393, 768, 1024 and 1440 pixel widths, and with browser text zoom. We update this statement when something changes.
