What Scholastic Services version 1 includes

This page describes version 1 only. Earlier versions did more; none of that is claimed here.

  1. School overview

    Heads see enrolment, coverage, marks readiness, reports, data quality and set-up in one place.

  2. Learner records

    Status, class history, guardians and documents, with CSV import for existing records.

  3. Staff records

    Employment state, effective-dated roles and staff documents.

  4. Calendar and subjects

    Academic years and terms, a platform-wide subject bank, and subject offerings per stream and class.

  5. Marks, entered once

    Teachers enter drafts or import CSV and submit; deans moderate, approve, publish and decide corrections. Registers export with their approval state shown first.

  6. Report cards

    Versioned reports prepared, reviewed, approved and published from published marks only.

  7. Student and parent portal

    Published reports only. Parents see verified children and can ask a school to link a child.

  8. Scholastic Cards

    Revocable, versioned card tokens with one safe scan contract. A scan reveals a minimal overview, never marks, guardians or documents.

  9. Sly

    Read-only answers about marks progress and readiness, worked out from the school's own records within the asker's role.

Version 1 does not yet include finance, payroll, procurement or the other school modules from earlier versions. Those are not described here as available.

Connections

How Scholastic Services connects

Each connection carries its real status.

  • Sport built on school identity

    Schools, students and sports staff will come from Scholastic Services, so teams and players are not typed in twice. Scholastic Cards version 1 are the first building block: a revocable card with one safe scan contract that shows only a minimal overview. Nexus is not yet connected to version 1.

  • Sellers reach schools from Vimera

    A school-related seller will list on Vimera and appear in a Scholastic Services marketplace. Vimera version 1 has its marketplace switched off, so this connection waits on that.

  • School finances powered by Vimera

    Fees and deep school finances will live in Scholastic Services with payments and money movement running on Vimera. Scholastic Services version 1 does not include finance yet.

  • Pocket money and personal money

    Students and parents will hold, send and spend personal money in Vimera, tied to the student's Scholastic identity. Vimera version 1 already handles personal money; the link to Scholastic is not built.

    Schools will appear on Vimera as organisations and potential customers, so providers can find and serve them.
