Privacy Policy

This website, aetheriszw.company, is run by Aetheris Innovative Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd, Hwange, Zimbabwe ("Aetheris", "we", "us"). We are the party that decides how personal information collected through this website is used.

This policy covers this website only. Scholastic Services, Vimera and Nexus are separate products. Each one handles the personal data of its own users under its own terms, on its own site.

The public pages of this website have no accounts, no sign-up and no forms. We do not ask you to type anything about yourself. The information involved is limited to the following.

• Technical request data. When a page loads, our hosting provider receives your IP address, the type of browser and device, the page requested and the time. This is standard for any website.
• Error reports. If the website hits an error, the hosting platform may record a technical report, such as the error message and the page you were on.
• Messages you send us. If you contact us by WhatsApp, phone call or email, we receive what you send and the details that come with it, such as your phone number, email address and the name shown on your account.
• Browser storage. Sly, our guide, and the opening animation remember a few small preferences in your browser. They stay on your device. See the Cookies and Storage policy for the exact list.
• Staff sign-in. A private area exists for approved Aetheris staff. It is not available to the public and does not process visitor data.

We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or fingerprinting on this website, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

Sly's remarks are written by us in advance. Sly does not read what you type, and nothing about how you use him is sent anywhere.

• To deliver this website to you and keep it working.
• To keep it secure and to find and fix faults.
• To read and reply to your messages and enquiries.

We rely on our legitimate interest in running and securing the website, and on your request when you contact us and expect a reply. We handle personal data in line with the principles in Zimbabwe's Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07]: lawfulness, fairness and transparency, a stated purpose, data minimisation, accuracy, limited storage and security.

We do not sell personal information. It reaches the following parties only as a normal part of how the website and our contact channels work.

• Hosting and infrastructure providers, which serve the website and keep technical logs.
• Messaging and email providers, such as WhatsApp (Meta) and Google (Gmail), when you choose to contact us through them. Their own privacy terms apply to what you send.
• Google (YouTube). Only if you press play on a video on the Zimbabwe Simulator page. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you do.
• The sites you choose to open. Links to social networks and to the Scholastic Services, Vimera and Nexus sites take you to services we do not control.

We may disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the security of the website.

Some of the providers above process information outside Zimbabwe. Where that happens, the information stays limited to what is described in this policy, and we expect those providers to protect it.

• Server logs and error reports are kept by our hosting provider on its own schedule.
• Messages to us are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and the follow-up. We delete them when they are no longer needed, or earlier if you ask and we are not required to keep them.
• Browser storage stays on your device until you clear it or the browser tab closes, depending on the item.

Subject to the law, you can ask us to:

• tell you whether we hold personal information about you, and give you a copy;
• correct information that is wrong;
• delete information we no longer need;
• stop or limit how we use it, or object to a use;
• withdraw consent you have given, where we rely on consent.

Email aetheriszw@gmail.com with the request. We may need to confirm who you are first. We aim to respond within 30 days.

You can also complain to Zimbabwe's data protection authority, the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ). We would like the chance to put things right first, but you do not have to contact us before you complain.

This website is for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through it. Products used by schools have their own rules for learners' data.

We collect very little, and the public pages hold no accounts, which limits what could go wrong. No system is perfectly secure. To report a weakness, see our Security and Disclosure page.

If what the website does changes, we update this policy and the date at the top of it. If a change affects you materially, we will say so on the website.
